W10 : INTRO TO AFTER EFFECTS
In this lecture, we explored Adobe After Effects, a robust 2.5D animation software used for animation, visual effects, and motion graphics compositing. It is essential in the post-production phase of films, television shows, and web videos.
Key points discussed included the various motion graphics techniques that After Effects offers, enabling users to manipulate vector and raster artwork to create engaging narratives.
We also covered the importance of pre-compositing in Photoshop, where static images, such as graphic elements and photographs, are converted into moving visuals.
For effective animation in After Effects, it is crucial to organize and name all Photoshop layers properly. This practice ensures a smoother workflow and makes it easier to navigate and manipulate elements within the software.
Overall, this lecture provided a foundational understanding of After Effects and its application in visual storytelling and animation.

Initially, I was intimidated by the complex interface of Adobe After Effects, worried that creating animations would be a daunting task. However, by following my teacher's guidance step by step, I discovered that producing animation effects can actually be quite straightforward!
Observation
While using Adobe After Effects, I realized its powerful capabilities for animation and visual effects. The software allows for the combination of static images and video elements to create dynamic visuals. I felt a surge of excitement knowing that by mastering this technology, I could produce a wider variety of creative works.
Findings
Through my experience with Adobe After Effects, I have gained fundamental skills in animation production, including layer management, the application of animation effects, and video compositing. Mastering these techniques will significantly enhance my digital art creation abilities.
